A Review - Cetaphil Restoraderm Skin Restoring Body Wash & Body Moisturiser

I've mentioned many times before that we are a family who suffer from sensitive skin conditions, such as Eczema. So when I was recently contacted by a Representative of Cetaphil Restoraderm Products I leaped at the chance to give them a try, as I'm always happy to try new things that could help us.

In the winter time especially I find that my skin dries out and sometimes gets so bad it cracks, the boys Eczema also seems to flare up a little, I put this down to the cold of outside, the dryness of the central heating and the lack of sunshine to the skin.

Cetaphil Restoraderm is new to the UK, their range was launched on 10th October 2011 in larger Boots stores across the country.  The Body Wash and Moisturiser work together to help reduce dryness, irritation and redness of Eczema prone skin.  They use advanced Ceramide and Filaggrin technology to help hydrate and restore the skins natural barrier function.  Designed to be used together as part of a gentle daily skincare routine the body wash and moisturiser are suitable for full-body use for people aged three months and above.

Cetaphil Restoraderm Skin Restoring Body Wash

I really enjoyed using the Body Wash, the oils in the soap-free foaming wash cleansed my skin beautifully whilst avoiding irritation or drying me out further.  It contains no fragrances which made it ideal for everyone in the family to use.

My whole body really felt soft and silky after a shower, I even used the wash on my face, which I would never do with normal shower gels.  My face felt smooth and moisturised, I wasn't immediately dashing for heavy duty moisturising cream in my bathroom drawer which I usually do.  James at the time had a little rash on his tummy,  but it was eased by the wash, rather than irritated which many soaps can do.

The Body Wash comes in a 295ml bottle and retails at £15.99.

Cetaphil Restoraderm Skin Restoring Body Moisturiser

The Body Moisturiser is a perfect compliment to the Body Wash, it is clinically proved to moisturise very dry, itchy and sensitive skin.  However, it's non-greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin leaving it soothed and soft.  The advanced technology helps to restore and rebuild the skin barrier.

After every shower I used the cream, especially on my legs and hands which tend to get very dry.  I couldn't believe how soft my skin felt afterwards.  James' skin also benefited from this and his rash was soothed and cleared within a few days, it may have been a coincidence, but I'm sure the cream did help.

The Body Moisturiser comes in a 295ml pump bottle and retails at £19.99.

All in all I was very happy with these products and would definitely recommend them to others who suffer from dry or sensitive skin complaints.
